I’ve been working on a Blog for a while in the past and I’d like to have knew what I know now. The issue in creating a Blog and figuring out what you need to do is that there’s no a step by step source in simple, straightforward English which is why I’ve made this guide to assist you. It’s not perfect , but it’s is based on my experiences about blogging and how to make money from my blog in the last few months . I’m sure there is plenty of improvement, so just use this as an outline. A base for information is better than none in any way and you’ll need to start from somewhere with your feet planted on the ground. This guide can be used when you want to start a blog but aren’t interested in earning money, or if you’re looking to blog and make money on the side without any extra work. Sounds like a good deal, OK! The first portion of this guide starts with finding a domain name. if you are already familiar with that the guide can be skipped and begin with Section 2. Note that a complete updated version of this article that includes more links is available in the Blog that is located within the Resources Section.
(Optional) Section 1. Registering a Domain For Your Blog
The first thing to do is to register the Domain Name of Your Blog. I suggest that you make use of a COM domain, and make an effort to create the simplest and shortest name that you can come up with without dashes or numbers. The names you’ll see are single and are all taken, so come up with a simple phrase or something that is memorable, and you’ll be able to find something available after several hours. I would not suggest using web, org, etc. regardless of the name is because people are prone to forget everything except com. And if you go with net, chances are people will put an COM in place and you will be giving another site free traffic and losing yours. Once you’ve found a Com that you can register as a blog host, you should advise going ahead and register it on Godaddy, which is incredibly cheap. If you don’t wish for anyone to find out that you’re the owner of the domain, which means not listing your name, number, email address, and address, it will cost you an additional $10 per year or less for private Registration. I’d recommend using this method to ensure your privacy. The contact information that you provide them with must be in line with your credit card and financial information. After you have registered, make sure to keep the copy from your Godaddy Password number in a safe and secure place. It is likely that you will need the space to host your blog site and blogging software which will be discussed in later chapters. Don’t sign up on with Godaddy Hosting if you want to work with the company I suggest for everything, including hosting.
Section 2. AdSense
Google AdSense is the easiest earned money you’ll ever make in your life and there’s no cost to you, should you want to use AdSense. If you’re not interested in earning additional income from AdSense just don’t post it on your blog it’s up to you. The tiny Google ads and occasional larger images displayed on websites are AdSense. The method by which AdSense works is you join for free the program and can cancel any time you want and in return Google places these ads on your Blog/Website. All someone needs to click on an ad on your blog , and you’ll receive anything from 1 cent to possibly 10 or more dollars per click. My average is around 20 cents which ads up when I get 40 clicks per day or so. How much you get paid is dependent on a number of things , and you must read AdSense rules and policy. AdSense will pay you when you’ve hit the $100 threshold and then you begin again. I’ve earned a good amount of money in just a few months, which is quite impressive considering that you did little work! Simply put, the more traffic your blog attracts to your site, the more visitors you’ll receive and the more money you’ll make. Google is extremely strict about the clicks being legit and if they see you in violation of their rules in any way, they might remove you from their site permanently, without a chance to reinstate you Seriously! It is essential to go through their guidelines and policies a few times to be able to use AdSense. The most important thing to remember is to not click on your own ads and make sure that no one else in your family do it either and make sure that you don’t solicit others to click ads on your blogs, or you’ll be banned from AdSense. The best thing to do is simply to place the ads on your blog and leave them there. Be sure to check their policies on what they will allow AdSense on. The blog software I used already included AdSense in the Program. My blog is listed in the Resources Section.
I’ll be referring to and giving you a contact address in Section 4. The majority of other blogs, as per my knowledge, you have to manually paste the AdSense Codes on the pages. The WordPress Blog program I use doesn’t need it.
Section 3. E-Commerce on Your Blog
I use a program that’s called The Easy Store that’s a component of my blog, or in reverse Versa. The Easy Store basically lets you create a niche store of any or all of Amazon’s products . For all items purchased, you earn a commission of 46% as a general rule paid direct from Amazon. It’s not free. Easy Store isn’t free but it is likely to cost you to have them create an image for $200. Without a logo , it’s likely to cost around $120. The software isn’t too complicated, and the Software including the Blog software is installed for free with Zeus Design who will go over everything with you and will be there for assistance with technical issues. My Gifts Shop in Resources is an Easy Store.
Section 4. Getting the Blog (WordPress) Software and AdSense, E-Commerce and Hosting If You Wish
As I mentioned before, I use Zeus Design to do everything for me and I’m delighted with everything I’ve had them do for me. This isn’t an infomercial , but rather my honest, unpaid testimonial of a company I’m extremely satisfied with, who do outstanding, quick, reliable, high-quality work and is pleasant to deal with. If you’d like to work with other businesses, I can only tell you the things that work for me and invite you to do business with them. If you’re interested in a similar WordPress Blog that is set up as mine, with AdSense installed, an Easy Store as part of the hosting and Blog I recommend that you reach out to Zeus Design.
My opinion is that the price is reasonable and affordable. As I mentioned I encourage you to look through different businesses.
Section 5. Once You Have Your Blog Online
Here are a few things I’ve learned about if you want better traffic. Keep in mind that this won’t happen overnight.
1. Always use a picture or an illustration on all Blog you write on. I made the error of not having this done the first few months and it cost me a lot. It is best to always use something that will catch someones eye in a good way. I paid $30 for software which allows me to combine two pictures into one single image which I could not do without my blog, Picture Merge Genius.
2. Always make the title of your Blog as exciting and captivating as you can with important key words.
3. Write as often as you can about the latest, exciting and innovative topics and ideas, as well as people who are in the news and in the minds of the public as opposed to items that you have experienced in your own life in the event that it applies to everyone else. I read the news online every day about 10 times to find anything relevant. The Internet is the primary news source. For instance, I stumbled across a photo of Sara Palin pregnant 20 years ago . I posted it alongside the image of her expecting Trig and made that into a separate Blog with my opinion of the whole story, and I got about 15,000 views. It’s true that I hit it lucky, but that’s better than very few readers who wrote about my most loved HDTV Model! It’s likely to take a few months to pick this up. Remember that while you and your family might be enthralled by your personal stories and your personal philosophy however, the majority of people have no interest in it.
